Hence my opinion is based upon what I use them for. <br /><br />I purchased this set on the recommendation of a friend. So far I have found the battery life to be very good, with two batteries anytime that I have needed a second battery it has been fully charged, though most of the time I can do multiple projects on one battery. <br /><br />The drill has plenty of power to drive screws or drill holes, including into pressure treated lumber. I cannot comment about the hammer function as I have yet to have an occasion to use it, but if it is anything like the 14.4 volts DeWalts I have used in the past I am sure it will go through concrete like butter. <br /><br />The reciprocating saw has done everything I have asked it to (as long as I had the right blade.) From tree trimming, to cutting wire shelving, to minor demolition it has worked flawlessly. It is light weight enough to handle easily and for long periods of time. <br /><br />The circular saw has cut through anything I have put in front of it from 2x4s to pressure treated lumber to landscaping timbers and 3/4" plywood. The cutting is quick and smooth. It is lightweight enough to work with in just about any position you might find yourself needing to make a cut. <br /><br />I have not yet had a chance to test out the the light included in this combo kit. If it works half as well as the rest of the tools I am sure I will be happy with it the first time I have to work under the sink, in the attic, under the house or after sundown. <br /><br />One correction to make to the product description, it states "the four-piece combo kit comes with . . . a soft-sided carrying case." Thankfully this is not the case it comes with the hard plastic case pictured on the page. I shudder to think what conditions the tools may have been in without the hard case; UPS was not very kind to the package, thankfully nothing was damaged.<br /><br />The tools in this kit are very good. We have used DeWalt tools for some time.<br /><br /><br />I have always used DeWalt tools in the UK and find them to be the best portable tools on the market. So when I came to live in the USA one of the first items I bought was this Combo Kit and am highly satisfied. Also superb service from Amazon who I find to be more than competitive. <br /><br />I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone I know.
